    What Time Can I Start Placing Bets in North Carolina?

    This is a key question everyone in the Tar Heel State will ask themselves. Sports betting apps in North Carolina are allowed to accept their first wagers at noon Monday.     What's the Legal Sports Betting Age in North Carolina?

    You must be 21 years or older to bet on sports in the state of North Carolina. You will need to verify your age when you sign up for every sportsbook in the state. (More on the sign-up process here.)

    What Types of Wagers Can I Make in North Carolina?

    Bettors will be allowed to make traditional wagers in North Carolina 鈥?spreads, moneylines, over/unders, player props, parlays, teasers 鈥?as well as single-game parlays on events. In addition, bettors can make in-game and in-play wagers, but won't be able to wager on injuries, penalties, disciplinary proceedings (suspensions) or the outcome of replay reviews.

    Wagering on awards that are based on regular season statistics is allowed for bettors in North Carolina as well. Bettors in North Carolina can also wager on exchanges, which allows two or more people to place identically opposing bets in a given market, and prize pools.

    You will not be able to wager on youth sports in the state 鈥?this does not include sporting events that are overseen by national or international athletic bodies that aren't educational institutions.

    Can I Bet on College Player Props in North Carolina?

    Yes, you can bet on college player props if the sportsbook offers markets for a given player. With the ACC tournament starting March 12 and NCAA tournament games set to tip on March 19, you can expect operators to offer prop markets for popular players.

    Can I Bet on the 2024 NFL Draft in North Carolina?

    Yes, you will be allowed to bet on the NFL Draft in April. Wagers for all draft offerings that pertain to the entire draft must be made before the first pick of the draft. Round-specific bets must be made before the first selection in that round. Pick-specific wagers must be placed before the announcement of the selection.
